Failure- not an option!

What would you do if you knew you would not fail?

I know you may have heard this question before. It's a pretty deep question. And it is one that Pastor Robert Schuller asked his viewers and congregation nearly 50 years ago!

So...I will ask again...What would you do if you knew you would not fail?

When I think about how I would answer this, it makes me nervous. Because what if...what if something went wrong, what if I wasn't mean to do this thing, what if I wasn't good enough, what if I actually DO fail??? What if...

Then again, What if I didn't fail?

How would I feel if I succeeded?

Today I contemplate that would I feel if I succeed? I have to confess to you, lately, I have been feeling like a failure. As my new and permanent coaching business recently opened, along with teaching Zumba in the same facility, I have not had the great successful beginnings I had hoped for. In fact, I have had no new clients sign up with me and the Zumba classes have barely a trickle. I know, and have read, all the business analytics that express how well soft-openings should go, Grand Openings, and how to base success in the first several months of opening a business. The truth is, I had hoped, prayed abundance of people flowing in! And as I, in frustration, shed tears on my husband's shoulder, he asked me that same question I had been contemplating..."Stacie, how would you feel if you succeeded?"

Here's my next confession...I know money is SUPPOSE to fuel our basis for success. Yes, there is rent space to pay, utilities and such. However, as I really reflect on success, it is so much MORE than money. It's about building the relationships. Letting people know how much you care about them. Listening to them, no matter what. And through that, loving everyone, which to me, glorifies God. To me, THAT is success.

Put you trust in God. If God has called you to follow your heart, or told you to do something for good, and if it is something that is God's will, then it will never fail. God's plan for each of us has such purpose because He loves us so much! Jeremiah 8:4 tells us, " You are to say to them: This is what the LORD says: Do people fall and not get up again? If they turn away, do they not return?" God is telling us here that true failure is not getting back up, not trying.

So, I ask you again, what would you do if you knew you could not fail? How would it feel if you succeed?

Sometimes, we just need to answer this question out loud with someone who will help direct us in the right path. I've been there. I understand how you feel. And I would love to help you succeed in any dream you wish to pursue.

And always trust that GOD loves you and knows your plan. HE will not let you fail. Lean on Him. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
